hi
what about making a weather board where you paint various weather, rain, clouds, thunder and lighening, sun, snow, fog and frost. let the children look outside and state what the weather is today and stick an arrow on the approproate weather, this done each morning will encourage the children to take note of weather, for colour we usually do a colour a week e.g. red: make red jelly, put red food dye in water and put in a carnation to see colour spread, use food colours in play dough, for christmas make santa, sut out a large circle of red paper, round circle of pink for face, cut out strips of paper for arms and legs snd concertina these to make them springy and glue on black boots and hands. also use kitchen roll tubes and paint brown, cut out green shaped xmas tree card and glue on tube and decorate then you have a stand up tree. draw an angel and cut out wings seperately, decorate then attach wings usuing split pins for movable arms. hope some of these are of use.
