A HND is a higher qualification than a foundation degree and can be completed on a part time basis over 3 years. This qualification is the equivalent to 2/3rds of a full degree and can be topped up at university.
I am currently studying for a HND in early childhood studies full time and spend 16 hours per week at college and 1 day per week at placement. your current place of work can be classed as your placement so long as you are working in childcare, so this means you would only need to find time for the college study.
