hi if you have been accused of mishandling a child, where there other people there? did they offer help?, have you been trained in ways to effectivley handle children without injuring them or you , particularly children with challenging behaviour or special needs (im assuming).if you have not been given the above your employer is at fault and you should pursue it, they have a duty to not only protect children but also employees from harm and forseeable violence and i quote must take steps to minimise this risk. Look in the workplace health and safety act, you can cliam for quite a long time after dissmisal.PLease dont give up
