From college work I did on my NC course the main thing I remember about linking Bolby's theories to practice was the key worker system which helps both young children and their carers cope with the move from home to Nursery. Also being aware of his theories makes us aware of what a child and their carers are going through and how to help them through the settling in period. I also remember young children having their comforting toys with them.
