Potty Training - 20-02-06 22:24
Would not agree! Have found it depends on the child entirely. Some boys will potty train quickly and soon after 2nd birthday, others will take until nearly 3 years of age. Similarly with girls - it all depends on the nature of the child. Have found a good piece of advice from social worker - get the child involved from the beginning. Take them out and choose their own potty - no one else can use it just them. Also include in the shopping trip are new pants. I know this may not be practical in a nursery but it worked for me personally as a parent and subsequently as a childminder passing on this info to parents. Do include in the process the stuff about cleaning up after themselves - including the potty, washing hands etc. Boys are particularly hard to get a hold of this but little girls love the fussing!
